Church Service & Volunteer Policy
1. Purpose This policy exists to guide those serving in the church to live and serve in a way that honors God and supports the mission of the church. It helps create a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment for everyone.2. Scope This policy applies to all individuals serving in any church role, including volunteers, ministry leaders, and staff. Anyone representing the church is expected to follow these guidelines.3. Spiritual & Behavioral Expectations Those serving should strive to live according to Biblical values and the teachings of the church. Servants are expected to act with integrity, humility, kindness, and respect toward others at all times.4. Commitment & Responsibilities Servants are expected to be faithful, punctual, and prepared for their assigned responsibilities. If unable to serve as scheduled, they should communicate promptly and participate in required training or meetings.5. Code of Conduct All servants must behave responsibly and ethically during church activities and in personal conduct that reflects on the church. Confidential information and church resources must be handled with care and integrity.6. Child & Youth Safety Anyone serving with children or youth must follow all church safety and protection guidelines. Any concerns, incidents, or suspected misconduct must be reported immediately to church leadership. Background checks will be run for any adult working with children or youth.7. Training & Accountability Some roles may require training before or during service. Church leadership may provide guidance, correction, or discipline when necessary to maintain accountability and unity.8. Conflict Resolution Conflicts should be addressed respectfully and in a Biblical manner, beginning with direct communication. If the issue cannot be resolved, church leadership may assist in the process.9. Removal or Resignation Servants may step down from their role anytime with appropriate notice. The church reserves the right to remove indivuduals from service if conduct does not align with church values or policies.
Bathroom Attendant- A bathroom attendant at a church keeps the restrooms clean, stocked with supplies, and provides basic assistance to guests during services or events.Cafe- On Sundays, the café prepares and serves refreshments, welcomes guests, cleans up, and supports any events or groups.Childrens Ministry- Share the Gosepl with kids in age-appropriate ways. Ensure kids feel loved, seen, and valued. Play fun, engaging lessons that mix Bible teaching with games, crafts, songs, and small discussions. Green Room/ Hospatility- Ensures a welcoming environment by preparing and serving water and drinks for attendees, keeping the space clean, and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere throughout events. Greeters- Welcome attendees with a friendly smile, provide information through bulletins, and help newcomes feel at home.Information Booth- Helps attendees find what they need- It's the go to spot for directions, event details, sign ups, and answering questions with a warm welcome.Meals For Sick/Needy- Provide meals to bless, support, and care for those who are sick or in need. Media- Runs sound, screens, photos, and tech to make worship and messages clear and engaging for everyone. Merch- Organizes and sells church merchandise to spread the message, build community, and support ministry. Parking- Greets people with a smile, directs traffic, ensures safety, and assists people to and from their cars if needed. Prayer- Lifts up the needs of the church and community, prays, with people personally, and intercedes for services, leaders, and ministries. Sanctuary Reset- Keeps the worship space clean and ready by picking up trash, refilling communion, replacing bulletins, and restocking chairs in between services.Ushers- Greet guests, help them find seats, and encourage people to move in to make space for others, creating a welcoming and organized environment.Women's Breakfast- Helps set up and tear down tables and chairs, cleans the space and bathrooms, and ensures the church is presentable and ready for the next day's service.Worship- Lead the church in music and praise, helping everyone connect with God through song, prayer, and heartfelt worship.Youth- Leaders guide and mentor younger students, help lead activities, teach lessons, and create a fun, safe environment. They can also assist by helping feed the youth and supporting events.
